Associate Attorney

Chad Gregory Edwards joined Hobbs, Straus, Dean & Walker, LLP as an associate attorney in June 2026. A member of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, Chad brings a deep personal and professional commitment to federal Indian law, and administrative litigation, possessing a robust background in navigating complex federal and tribal legal frameworks.

Prior to joining the firm, Chad served as an ASU Public Service and Leadership Development Fellow at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Washington, D.C. In this role, he provided vital legal services, drafted formal government positions, and analyzed proposed legislation and federal regulations to ensure alignment with critical departmental goals.

Chad’s diverse legal portfolio is grounded in extensive hands-on experience across tribal, federal, and public interest sectors. He has served as a Law Clerk for Earthjustice within the Tribal Partnerships Program, as well as the Tohono O’odham Gaming Office and the Maricopa County Prosecutors’ Office. Furthermore, as a Student Attorney at the Indian Legal Clinic at Arizona State University, he focused extensively on critical tribal issues and successfully litigated a civil traffic trial on behalf of the Gila River Indian Community. Also, while at Arizona State University he served as an associate editor of the Law Journal for Social Justice.

Away from his legal practice, Chad enjoys spending quality time outdoors hiking and taking his dogs to the local parks. An avid film enthusiast, he also loves staying up to date with the latest cinematic releases.
