Brenda L. George

Associate Attorney

Brenda is an associate attorney that joined the Portland Office of Hobbs, Straus, Dean and Walker LLP in May 2025. Brenda currently works remotely from Washington State, advising tribal clients on a variety of issues, with a particular concentration on health care, housing, employment, and other general matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Brenda worked for the Suquamish Indian Tribe where she provided in-house counsel with a primary focus on tribal health care operations, Human Resources, tribal housing, and general policy. After law school, Brenda worked as an attorney for the economic arm of the Suquamish Indian Tribe, Port Madison Enterprises, where she worked on tribal construction and general contract matters.

Brenda graduated from Seattle University School of Law in 2018 where she was the Editor-in-Chief of the American Indian Law Journal, board member of the Native American Law Student Association, and area representative for the National Native American Law Student Association.

Outside the office, Brenda enjoys spending time with her family, coaching high school varsity softball, landscape photography, and reading.
