Chandos P.W. Culleen

Associate Attorney

Chandos Culleen joined Hobbs, Straus, Dean & Walker in 2024 as an associate attorney. Prior to joining the firm, Chandos served as the Senior Director of Federal Relations for the National Council of Urban Indian Health (NCUIH) where he led administrative advocacy efforts on behalf of Native-controlled non-profits which contract with the Indian Health Service to provide healthcare to American Indians and Alaska Natives in urban areas. Before NCUIH, Chandos worked as a litigator in the Scottsdale, Arizona office of a nation-wide law firm. Chandos also previously served as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Leslie Miller (retired), of the Arizona Superior Court for Pima County.

Chandos is a 2016 graduate, with honors, of the George Washington University Law School. In law school, Chandos worked as a law clerk at the Native American Rights Fund, the Environmental Council of the States, the Department of the Interior’s Office of the Solicitor, the Environmental Protection Agency, and a nation-wide law firm which exclusively practiced Federal Indian Law.

Chandos holds a Master of Arts degree in American Indian Studies from the University of Arizona. During his time in Tucson, Chandos worked as Community Facilitator for the Native American Student Affairs office at the University of Arizona and interned at the Tucson Indian Center. He earned a Bachelor of Arts, with distinction, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was a member of the Carolina Team Handball Club.

Outside of the office, Chandos serves as a Judge Advocate in the United States Army Reserve. He is also a proud Army Spouse and enjoys spending time cooking and gardening with his family.
