Moriah O’Brien joined Hobbs Straus in 2009 as a Legislative Analyst.  She has a background in business, intellectual property, and environmental issues and will focus her legislative work on economic development, energy policy, federal recognition, transportation, and homeland security issues. A native of northern Virginia, Moriah comes to the firm with a lifetime of political involvement, networking skills and the ability to navigate the Washington bureaucracy with ease.

Moriah enjoys volunteering for the League of Women Voters and Dress for Success DC, an organization dedicated to advancing the economic opportunities of women.  Moriah is avid international traveler and enjoys long distance running, keeping current on innovations in alternative energy, visiting art galleries, and watching C-SPAN.
